Grant Cycle 1 & COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted life all around us. Social distancing measures, little to no activity in community congregate settings, and state shutdowns have greatly diminished opportunities to administer grants to organizations to conduct Grant Cycle 1 programs. In many cases, organizations have had to furlough or lay off staff, struggle with capital obligations, and, in quite a number of cases, narrow their program offerings and scope.

TCIF too has been impacted by the pandemic. It has severely curtailed our ability to engage meaningfully with organizations. Normally, TCIF representatives would visit with grantee organizations and meet with staff to discuss progress, monitor activity, and engage with stakeholders. However, the severity of the pandemic prevents such engagement out of justifiable safety concerns. TCIF will indefinitely suspend Grant Cycle 1 until safe grantee engagement and monitoring modalities are identified. Things have changed around us and we are quickly learning how best to respond while continuing to realize our founding principles.

We pray for safety and well-being for all.
