Hoopoe Youth Initiative. 2023-2024
Hoopoe Youth Initiative joined TCIF’s Project Incubator Fiscal Sponsorship program in 2023 with the goal of creating a positive social impact for the American Muslim community by providing culturally appropriate supportive educational programming for Muslim youth, ages 14-24, from low- to moderate-income, refugee, and immigrant families in the State of Connecticut.
Through PIFS, Hoopoe Youth Initiative was selected as the grant recipient for the Ramadan Food Box Giveaway by Islamic Relief USA. Through this partnership, Hoopoe Youth Initiative distributed 118 boxes of food to local families on March 16th, 2024, and 22 more to families who were unable to collect their box on the distribution date.
Through the distribution process, Hoopoe Youth Initiative recruited volunteers for its youth leadership program.
